This is not a vegetable, not Tor, and not the software layering pattern that shares the name. It is a geometric primitive: a closed box with an internal source, a one-way hinge, and a rule that faults become structure.
The three parts
Shell
The outside. A finite cube. The only surface another system is allowed to read. Routine answers stay cheap. Unready work is not allowed to pretend it is finished.
Bulk
The inside. Nested layers. Unfinished work and pinned faults live here. The observer sees a skin. Most of the house is inward.
Core
The origin, written x⁰ = 1, with vacuum bias λ > 0. A source inside a closed system. If λ were zero the box could only rearrange what it already held. If λ were negative, becoming would drain.
What it does
The core injects expansion. The shell reflects only that component and leaves the hinge untouched. What cannot honestly resolve is folded inward as a scar and counted as depth. The skin may speak only when sharpness is high enough; until then the honest output is a frontier, not a costume.
Specified and simulable. Not a finished theory of nature, and not a shipped chip.
